Stephanie
Stephanie has been in orthodontics since 1971 when she began working for her own orthodontist before going to school to be a dental assistant. She spent 15 years working as a chairside assistant then had an orthodontic laboratory business for 7 years. Missing the interaction with patients and their families, Stephanie began working as our Patient Coordinator in 1994. Stephanie grew up in Carlsbad and loves baseball, cooking and traveling with her family and friends. “The best part about having orthodontics be such a big part of my life is all the friendships I’ve made and all the beautiful smiles we’ve created.”
Maggie, RDA, CDA
Maggie has enjoyed working in the orthodontic field for over 30 years and brings much experience to our office. She is a registered dental assistant and was an assistant for 16 years. Maggie has been our Treatment Coordinator for the last 15 years. Maggie is a native of San Diego and grew up in Bird Rock. She loves reading, fishing, riding, picnics, scary movies and Halloween. Maggie likes going to fairs and amusement parks.
Glenda
Glenda is our Financial/Insurance Secretary. She has over 23 years experience in the orthodontic field and has been with our practice for 9 years. Glenda cares about our patients and is very tenacious in making sure that all insurance benefits are received in a timely manner. Glenda loves animals, gardening and traveling with her husband.
Marcia, RDA
Marcia is a registered dental assistant with 25 years of experience in the dental field with 20 years in orthodontics. She has been with our practice for 10 years. Marcia has been a Carlsbad resident since 1986. She enjoys the beach, yoga and walking her dog, Bailey.
Summer, RDA
Summer is a registered dental assistant and has worked in the dental field for 16 years. She has been with our practice for 7 years. In her free time, Summer loves to ride motorcycles in the desert with her husband and two sons. They also enjoy hanging out at the beach. “The reason I love working for Dr. Hurst is because we create beautiful smiles.”
Theresa, RDA
Theresa is a registered dental assistant and has worked in orthodontics since 1981. She has been with our practice for 4 years. Theresa and her husband live in Oceanside and have 3 boys, 2 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys home decorating, gardening and spending time with her family at the beach. “I enjoy getting to know our patients and their families.”
Mindy, CDA
Mindy is certified dental assistant and has over 8 years of experience working in orthodontics. She may be a familiar face because she worked in our office when her adult daughters were children. Mindy is and has been a Jazzercise instructor locally for many years. Mindy is a native Californian and very proud of her American Indian heritage. In her off time, she crochets scarves for a charity close to her heart and she really enjoys working out and cooking with her daughters.
